Jewish artists or Jewish art?

Our art collection comprises some 11,300 paintings, drawings and prints by Jewish artists of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. The collection’s special focus is on works by Moritz Daniel Oppenheim, Jakob Nussbaum and Ludwig Meidner. We are systematically collecting works by Jewish artists in exile and Jewish artists from Frankfurt. The collection of 21st century contemporary art is being built up and will include photography, sculpture, installations and films, in addition to paintings.
